An Iraqi police pick up parks near Australian
military vehicles as they are stationed to block a road leading to the spot
where a four-vehicle convoy from the Japanese Ground Self-Defence Forces
encountered an explosion as they were driving near the southern Iraqi town of
Samawah, Thursday, June 23, 2005. There was no immediate report of injuries but
the front windshield of one of the vehicles was damaged, Japanese government
