Lieutenant Colonel Carew Reynell of the 9th Australian Light Horse Regiment of Reynella, SA, who was killed in action on 28 August 1915.

Brigadier
General William Grant CMG DSO and Bar who commanded the Australian 4th Light
Horse Brigade 1917-1919 and the Anzac Mounted Division (temporarily) in
1918. He took over command (as a
LT COL) of the 9th Light Horse Regiment, when Lieutenant Colonel Reynell was
killed.
