3rd Cavalry Regiment - Commanding Officers

Nui Dat, South Vietnam. 1969-05. Major (Maj) Ron Rooks of Duntroon, ACT, Officer Commanding B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, seated in the jeep, arrived at the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) Base to take over from Maj Laurie O'Donnell, Garran, ACT, the Officer Commanding A Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment,  located at Holsworthy, NSW. Both attended the Royal Military College (RMC), Duntroon, ACT, graduating into the Royal Australian Armoured Corps in 1954.
