The regiment received its current guidons on 14th November, 1971 from the then Governor-General, Sir Paul Hasluck at a parade at Eagle Farm, Qld.

2nd/14th Light Guidons on display - Regimental HQ |

Brisbane, QLD - 20th August, 1972. The Guidons of
the 2nd Light Horse Regiment QMI (Moreton Light Horse) and the 14th Light Horse
(QMI) (West Moreton Light Horse) being carried into the Cathedral Church of St
John the Evangelist, Ann St, Brisbane by the Guidon Party, for the ceremony
conducted by The Most Reverend F R Arnott, Archbishop of Brisbane, during the
lay up of the guidons in the Cathedral.

Anzac Day 2001 the
Guidons were carried with a mounted escort of 16 riders from the QMI Historical
Troop and the 2IC and the Adjutant of the Regiment.
