3rd Cavalry Regiment - Vehicles

The gunshield of an armoured personnel carrier (APC) of 3rd Cavalry Regiment, bearing a sticker that urges soldiers to take violent retaliatory action against "posties", employees of the Postmaster-General's (PMG's) Department, on their return to Australia (RTA). A strike by PMG workers had stopped all mail from home reaching the soldiers in Vietnam. The sticker reads: "Soldiers of Australia! Unite against PMG strikes! Punch a postie on RTA. Sock it to 'em diggers!" The APC is armed with a modified Soviet 25 mm M-1940 anti-aircraft gun (highly unusual as its normally a US made .50cal MG)
